About This Program
Therapy at Topfield is grounded in an empathic & person-centered approach, integrating evidence-based modalities alongside creative arts & play-based techniques to help clients navigate all of life's challenges. We offer an empowering space for clients to build trust, mindfulness, and lasting tools for life's challenges. Clients can explore emotions, improve self-awareness, and develop coping skills in a safe and supportive environment. Sessions incorporating equines are offered in the grooming room, arena, or outdoors (or start in one place and finish up in another!) and involve an equine handler in addition to the therapist. Research has demonstrated that incorporating equines into mental health therapies can reduce anxiety, improve self-esteem, foster empathy, and develop trust, benefiting individuals with anxiety disorders, trauma, social challenges, and more. This service may be available for out-of-network insurance reimbursement, depending on your coverage - we do not directly bill insurance at this time. Initial sessions are without equine-assistance, and therapy does not have to include horses (price is $150/45 min if there is no horse involvement). **Please note online booking requests are NOT guaranteed until you receive the confirmation from our client management system. Cancellation Policy
To help us plan the best experience for everyone, we usually schedule appointments at least a week in advance and payment is required at the time of booking. We understand things come up, but to keep things running smoothly, we can't reschedule missed appointments or those canceled within 24 hours of your appointment time. With more than 24 hours notice, we're happy to reschedule up to two appointments per year. While we don't offer refunds for scheduled lessons/appointments, if we have to cancel on our end, we'll definitely reschedule when possible, or credit your account.
