While the physical benefits, such as motor coordination, balance and muscle tone, achieved from therapeutic riding are numerous, the emotional and social benefits are also far reaching. The therapeutic riding group session is specifically designed to provide opportunities for participants to practice cooperation, listening skills, language skills, patience, and empathy. Participants build independence, create long lasting friendships, and develop a sense of belonging and self-confidence through equine assisted and mounted activities.
