Part-Time Barn Staff
Requirements:
-
Solid equine and barn experience
-
Excellent interpersonal skills & personal integrity

Ability to follow direction and work independently
-
Self-directed and process-oriented
-
Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds for up to 10 feet and sustain aerobic activity for 30 consecutive minutes.

Must be able to work in a variety of positions, including but not limited to: stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, sitting
-
Must be able to tolerate a variety of outdoor conditions, varying turf surfaces, air-conditioned buildings, and fluorescent lights.

Must be able to hear and process ordinary conversation, telephone conversation, and quiet sounds with or without aid.

Must be able to operate and use equipment necessary to perform essential functions of the job.

Exercise common sense and can take initiative to accomplish tasks and make decisions
Preferred Qualifications:

High School diploma
-
Barn management software experience and willingness to utilize
-
Experience working with people with disabilities
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
-
Feeding, mucking, grooming & turnout of all horses
-
Communicating barn needs to Barn Manager
-
Maintaining barn equipment, supply & feed inventory as needed
-
Dispensing & applying prescribed medications and treatments as directed
-
Assisting with vet visits, worming & shots
-
Assisting with farrier scheduling & visits
Other Duties:​

Help in special events as needed

Other duties as assigned
Compensation:
-
Schedule is flexible to needs of property, programming, equines, and weather conditions approximately 15-25 hours to start

Generous hourly salary depending on experience
